Windows 7 on toughbook CF-73

#1 Post by blucado03 »

How well does Windows 7 work on a toughbook? I've yet to put it on there since I've seen the the touch software on Windows 7 sometimes doesn't work right. So please let me know.

Check this out.http://www.toughbooktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=279 Azrial put W7 on a CF-29 and others have put it on CF-18 . My guess you want to put it on your CF-73 ? Go here first http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compat ... fault.aspx and download and install the " Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor " . This will tell you what will work and will not work. But I would still give it a shot as long as you have your back up disk just in case it does not work.

If you do decide to go ahead and install W7 please post your results. Also it would be great if you could posted them in the CF-73 section of toughbooktalk here http://www.toughbooktalk.com/viewforum.php?f=14 so that way anyone else with a cf-73 can find it too. :)

Alright I just put Windows 7 on my CF-73, and it's running pretty good. Except for the fact that I'm missing the tablet driver. If anyone can help me find the SMK PnP Tablet driver it would be very helpful thanks.
