CF-74GCDADBM Touchscreen Driver

#1 Post by Toughbook »

Okay... I am having a brainfart... I can't seem to get the touchscreen driver loaded on this W7 installation. The thing is.... I just built one for a friend last month and breezed right through.

I can't seem to get any of the drivers to work. I've even used WinRAR to unzip a few to try.

Thoughts?

Accidentally using the wrong drivers?

I actually meant, Does it need a Vista bios flash?

What is the touchscreen set to in the BIOS?

I just looked and there is no bios flash listed for this model,bios_74_1_r060256.exe [0.87 mb] upgrade for MK1-2 to vista is all I'm finding.Rick,I have put 7 on a bunch of G models and like your first one it was smooth as can be.

One thing is go ahead and download the driver folder again,I have had some get boggled up in the download. And of course I just shipped my only 74 about 3 hours ago. :D

It is set to Touchscreen mode... Should it be set to Tablet Mode or Auto?

Okay... Just fixed it... It needed to be set to Tablet!!!

DOH.... Thanks Shawn for making me check.

Well call it a bump if nothing else. Good reminder. Repeat after me tablet, tablet, tablet. (shakes head)
In my feeble mind the bios upgrade for 19 and 30 mark 1 is because "there is no tablet switch in the bios".

Tablet for Vista and Windows 7.
Touch for XP.
Sticky this.

Linux will work with either with different numbers in calibration. :D

Color me "picking on Rick".

Jeff....been there done that mate...
Fair for you/ Fair for me.

Yup... This is what happens when I multitask sometimes... I end up chasing a stupid easy fix. I had noticed that the BIOS had Touchscreen enabled before... But this is only my 2nd CF-74... I didn't even check to see what the options were! LOL I usually stick with the heavy bruisers... I'm thinking this might make a nice present for my sister. It's fairly clean but has 15k hours on it... I have another 300 hour unit and a 600 hour unit coming though... We'll see. I picked them all up for cheap. It will be nice to build one to have around for whatever reason... What am I saying??? You all know the disease!
