CF-51 BIOS Password

#1 Post by toughasnails »

Has anyone ever had any luck removing a BIOS password from a 51. I see a few on ebay with it why I was wondering. If its like the CF-30 then I will pass on it.

How many more caddies are you going to need? :D Your two will go out this afternoon if the mail stage doesn't throw a wheel.

I'd pass on the password protected ones. How about those
2GHZ models. Can we hype them up? I'm watching this one.

Yes you can hype them up too , same as the T2300. It uses the same CPU. I have one too that I put the T7200 Core 2 Duo....this is the one that has the better video card

got a couple of the Q models and they have 256mb video ram. radeon I presume and have added the cpu's and ram and a 160gb sammy and a 320gb wd and they are quick. still looking for a "cheap" cf-52 to try the cpu thing on but still not sure if the cpu can be upgraded, swapped, like the cf-51 duo. it's the graphic chip a gm965 that I believe will allow the swap from 667fsb to 800fsb and even maybe the 1066fsb. someone mentioned this earlier somewhere else. but have a T9600 cpu I'm itching to try out. probably a T9500 is the answer but .........Driller :D

Pass on bios password models that have it enabled on boot
If its a password protecting the bios options, that can be removed using software
