CF-52 Mk1 Low spec wifi problems

My uncle brought me his Toughbook to reload. It is a CF-52 Mk1 1.8 ghz, 4gb ram and 80gb hd that he got though his work when they upgraded to newer models. He just wanted it reloaded and cleaned up with windows 7. I put windows 7 pro 64 bit on it for now. (got to find my 32 bit disk) I never used the other install as he said nothing important was on it, but it boots into windows fine but the wifi keeps cutting on and off. If you go to network you can see the Lan, wireless and BT there. But when the wifi shuts off the BT completely disappears. Then when the wifi emblem pops back, you can hear the windows defaut sound for connecton and the Wifi icon lights up and the BT icon comes back.

I tired resetting the Bios to defaults and then saving and rebooting but it didn't work. Next I disabled bluetooth in the bios but that didn't work either. The wifi is still in and then out. Anyother ideas of what the problem may be, bad wifi card?

Bad wifi card is my first guess.

Driver problems is second guess.

Well I may have got it sorted out late last night. I got it stable and it didn't go on and off. I got the idea to go back into bios and I turned off the wireless switch. Booted back up and it and worked like it was suppose too. Later today ( I am headed out to a junkyard run right now ) I am going to leave the wireless switch off and try the bluetooth back on and see what that does.

Shawn, then I need to swap to the other Mk1 and get that bios file for you now that I am back home.
