Custom brackets.

Handle side or back?

Are the two end "notches" on the back necessary for docking? If so it limited to handle side.

The handle hardware is plenty strong. I use dog collar name plates for this kind of project. Thinner stock would work as well. Nylon would work. Shim stock?

Parts:
10 " of high quality nylon webbing (nice smooth edges). Slightly wider than handle bracket.
2 EA 1/2 to 5/8 inch light black SQUARE DEES. (for strap) Half round for removable snaps.

Pull handle screw.
Take five inches of webbing and double it through a DEE.
Burn hole in web for handle piece that slides into case.
Put handle back in and mark how much you need to file the screw hole. (round file) Could be drilled instead.

Well, you asked. :)

edit: sent two pictures to your phone. Rough work, wrong material....< ten minutes.
Fair for you/ Fair for me.
I chose to NOT be organized.

Where can I get these materials from?

I'd honestly rather pay you for them :)

Yeah I looked for my 27....gone missing.

Rob I have another roll of that material that is narrow and edged smoothly. If I can find it. OOOhhh just spotted it. You have to convert your handle brackets or send me a set. I think drilling the hole out is best though a needle file would work. The converted bracket will be loose if you ever pull the DEEs off.

I have some black nylon here somewhere for another idea I have.
Fair for you/ Fair for me.

Haven't I seen some toughbook straps in the past that were cloth only and would go right into that?

Crude design picture. Wrong nylon and d is too big. Shows the hole that must be increased so screw goes straight through.
