#1 Post by Shawn »

Rob did this a while back. I copied his idea and added to it..

Here's a photo of the handle swap before I added my mod..

Here it is after my mod..Now I can see the charging LED..

Nice job Shawn.
CF-29LTQ,CF-31SBM,CF-52youngGUN,

Life's Journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways totally worn-out shouting 'Woo Hoo! What a ride!

Motorsports - the only real sport. If it doesn't have a motor, it is just a game.

There is always something waiting at the end of the road, if you are not willing to see what it is, you probably shouldn't be out there in the first place.

Is there enough "meat" on the handle to make a pass though hole for the headphone jack? The diameter of the hole needed may be too much.

I think there is enough.
It looks like the headphone jack hole would be almost centered between that metal edge and the plastic insert.
In a couple days I will try to drill a hole for the headphones.
I'll need to get my battery drill and bits from work....It may end up being several weeks before I actually remember..:)
I'll probably need a 5/16 hole...maybe even 3/8...

I do have a couple extra handles so I can afford to experiment on one.

I wasn't saying do it,lol, just curious. I got a spare 27 handle, but just haven't mounted it on anything yet.

I did not realize our mistake until I was done with the passthru hole..
You said headphone jack, but the headphone jack is not covered, It's the microphone jack that WAS covered.
It turned out well. I am pleased...

It is all black. The handle is slightly smoother and for some reason it came out blue in the photo.
