EnGenius EMP-9701 n or EMP-8602S
Well the big question is which is better.
My daughter lives in town and she just has the intel 2200 card installed in her CF-29 MK1 . She has no router in her house.......she kinda uses  the neighbours..... not sure which one but I would like to get a better card for her just to see if we can pull in a better signal but not sure which one would work better.I know their has been a lot of talk about these 2 cards but it seems that no one really knows for sure. Has anyone tried the EMP-9701n card and compared the two.
Below is 2 sellers I know of ......if you know of any please post , canada or usa sellers

Blair,

Not sure if this is 100% true.... If I remember correct, you can not change the WiFi card in the MK1 because the "centrino" branding. I think that the BIOS and the INTEL card work hand in hand. I tried to change one in a MK1 to the Intel 2915ABG and no luck. I had to switch back to the OEM card. If I am wrong, please post whatever it is that will make other than OEM work.

If it isn't broken, take it apart to see why it is working!!

I am using a atheros based " N " card now and it works great. I have them installed in a CF-29 MK1 and MK3 with no problems. Its like the card below. Most of the guys on here use the Engenius EMP-8602S in all their toughbooks.
