Hard drive confusion

Just what is a vertical solid state drive?
Why would the orientation of the drive make a difference?

I think it something to do with how the NAND chips are setup, not how the drive is oriented.

I thought maybe if you put the drive horizontal, all the memory would leak out. LOL

Oh I get it.

It must be like a bag of potato chips. If you lay them horizontally, the "chips" fall out.
