CF-19 MK2 Windows 7

#1 Post by dryster »

I installed Windows 7 on my CF-19 and used the Vista drivers for the buttons, but they're a bit wonky (brightness does not work, flip screen) - should I be "tricking" the system and install the MK3 buttons and pad drivers?

Thanks.

It can't hurt. With W7 some times you have to try other model drivers.

Or you could try the correct driver package for win7 cf19 mk2

ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/computer/softwa ... 2-7x86.exe
Life will beat you into submission.

Thanks Shawn, but how come the Panasonic driver selector does not know that, they just don't want to show that they support the MK2?

Even though that package installs apparently flawlessly, still the side buttons for rotate and the one next to it do not work.

And of course, flawlessly installing a bucket load of stuff with one click has consequences, the hotkey appendix runs the CPU hot, running 50% of cpu capability, I thought it was my new w7 install svhost background taking up all the cpu horsepower, but no, it's the hotkey appendix.
