Ledco Docking Station

I just got a Ledco vehicle docking station ( on-board power supply, just supply vehicle power ) I want to use it in our shop to charge our CF-30, so a mechanic can just grab and go then put it back, no horribly complicated power cable for them to reconnect. (sorry for the sarcasm, but it has been an issue.) Any one have any suggestions for a 120 volt power supply?

I need the full model number of the dock.... However it should work with the same exact charger you use to charge your Toughbook (The charger with the 90 degree tip)

Thanks!

I cant find a number on it, but it has a power cable similar to this one. So I am assuming (dangerous) that this cable would have been connected directly to the cars electrical system. So do I just get a laptop power supply and cut off the end and splice it to this cable?

Both images are from google, easier to get.

I had to read the post several times to understand.

You are going to use the dock mounted in the shop.

Please post a photo of the bottom of YOUR dock. Not a Google grab. I need it to have specific information.

Look at the picture I posted. It is the underside of the dock. See the black box marked "LIND"?
That is the actual power supply. It takes 12vdc from the vehicle and converts it to 15.6vdc for the dock/Toughbook to use.

All you need to do is remove that power supply and connect a standard Toughbook power supply in place of it. 120vac to 15.6vdc.
Both power supplies probably have the same output connector. In most cases no wire cutting will be needed.

That's going to take some research as the power supply is internal.

I can see what I can find online.
You could carefully open the dock and post a photo of the inside of it.

When the boss leaves.... Funny, because I have been there.
With that particular dock, your solution may require a 12v power supply.
My best guess is a decent 12v power supply with a minimum of 10 amp regulated output.

This one looks interesting.
