Screw up on eBay, now what?

#1 Post by WittgensteinSergeant »

OP brought a caddy for a CF-19 WITHOUT SATA cable (yet the seller said in the auction that the cable was included!), long story short: it's been shipped and now i'm left with a incomplete caddy, what now?

Auction in question: http://www.ebay.nl/itm/131348400140?ssP ... 1439.l2649

I would ship it back. It will cost you just as much for the cable

I've had this happen(not as described)
Give seller a chance to make good/ if not, file a claim with EBay- Even if seller claims no returns you have recourse if item Not as listed

If the auction said it was a complete caddy, make him ship you a new one or open a case with ebay.

I sell on eBay for a living,if the seller stated in his ad there was a cable and there's not, file a not as described case. Never pay return shipping for a sellers mistake.

If you bought it from over the pond,I'm not 100% sure but I sold a laptop to Canada that arrived damaged and he got all his money + shipping back . Contact eBay and ask on that.

The picture of the caddy didn't show the cable was included...
Rugged Toughbooks of all types... CF-31s, CF-30s, CF-29s, CF-19s, CF-52s, CF-53s, CF-74s, CF-H2... Hmmm... What else can I buy, build or modify?

Very true,I saw that ad for the caddy last night. No cable in the photo but he said it was included, how much you want to bet he will say he meant the heater cable?

This should be funny,I have a guy who sent me an F8 broken with a bios pass and he's all mad because I caught him. These sellers are something else. :D

I agree with Rick on this one..The data cable was not shown in the photo. The heater was shown.. You "may" have a tough time getting the data cable....
Life will beat you into submission.
