Anyone have problems swapping keyboards?

#1 Post by Tactmedic »

I swapped a keyboard and now the 4 key doesn't work. I think I was careful as possible has anyone else had an issue like this?

Not a typical problem, usually more than 1 key fails if it's a cabling problem. Possible bad keyboard?

Does it feel right? Possible a crunchy under it.

I vote for a Cheeto under the 4 key.

Yep,take the other board and hose it out. Then you will have an extra if you drop something big and heavy (coffee cup) on it......ask me how I know. :D

Let it dry for several days if you use water.....

I strongly suggest canned air.....

hummmm, I just put it back on my parts machine... so take it off and clean it with H2O, and air pressure? Sounds like a plan...

nah! Just hose it sideways with canned air. It's Tough. :D Sorry, Shawn...missed it ...Cheetos or Grandma's Oatmeal Cookies would be my guess.

I had several problems with the P key and others. Always it was crunchies. (if it was a single key that is)
