CF-30 Fprint readr no recognition @ boot but fine in windows

#1 Post by j0llyr0ger »

So sometimes, more often than not, the fingerprint reader will not recognize my print at boot time, but will work just fine in windows 7. It has worked in the past however.
THere is not an option for enrolling in the bios that I can find, but I never had to before, I assume it was put into the hardware using the windows portion of the driver.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

I would not recommend using the finger print reader as a BIOS lock. Not that reliable in my opinion.

i can confirm that on my C1. usually it works on the first try, and sometimes windows doesn't like it.
but I can always use the boot/login password.

also, dry/cracked skin on the thumbs can affect the recognition.
