Canadian 4G???

#1 Post by Rob »

Guys in Canada: :salute:

Are there any part numbers that will work with BELL mobility up there in Canada internal with a Toughbook CF-H2FRJHV1M?

I don't know anything about it because I'm in the US.

Links on where to buy would be great too!

Thanks!

You're looking for AWS 1700/2100 for LTE, and 2600 in urban centres. Fallback to HSPA you'd want 850/1900.

The main card I'd use would be the Sierra Wireless 7700. That'll do the B4 band for LTE and do HSPA.

7700 - AWS 1700/2100 for LTE and 850/1900 for HSPA
7710 - 2600 only for LTE (in larger cities only, but it's less congested and faster), no HSPA fallback

The only place really is eBay - anywhere else and the price skyrockets. Plus Sierra Wireless doesn't do any end user support... to the point where I call because my work is looking to buy 10 cards and I wanted to know from the horses mouth about the 7700 vs 7710 for the reasons up above... no help.

FINALLY got a response from Sierra Wireless (if you're an end user, all they'll say is "contact your distributor" to even mundane questions)
... there is NO miniPCIe card for 2600MHz LTE in Canada. Your only option is the external 330U USB aircard.
