Seen my first CF-31 today

#1 Post by ADOR »

Last night I got off my rig to go to another rig we have. The other Barge Engineer had a family emergency and had to go home. I got in late that night and just got my stuff in the room and went to bed. I got up the next morning and did a walk around. On the way back in I walked past the service companies work area and something caught my eye. I knew it was at least a CF-30. I walked over to look at it and noticed the i5 sticker on it. It has a leather case on it too. I have been trying to see who owns it and if he will let me look at it closer. Been wanting to look at one close up.

Don't worry Rob I will. I am keeping the Mk2 CF-30 I got for now, BUT selling my Mk1 and several others to put up toward the CF-31 I have been wanting. ATI graphics is a must have, Mk2 with 6750 or Mk3 with 7750. I already have a Custom Toughbooks GPS units put up with another one on the way. Got another emissive keyboard put up as well.

I just went to the configerator and see it is down. Redirects to a page saying down due to the hurricane. CF-31ATXAXIM So I at least know it's a Mk1 that came out of the USA.

I finally caught someone down there. It's a SCOMI unit. They got them back in May. I5 with integrated graphics and toughmate case. Has carry loops (D ring) near the front, one of the carry loops has a extra part that blocks the battery door from opening. No DVD. I seen how Panasonic re-arranged the PCMCIA, EXPRESS CARD, SD and WIRELESS SWITCH slot.
