Re: [WTB/FS/TRADE] FrankenPanny Project, a fun sales game!

You are welcome, but it's no big deal for me. I have good luck flashing BIOS, never had a unit brick on me yet (looking around for wood to knock on).

Look forward to checking out a copy.

Couldn't you back-up the original BIOS before you flash the hacked one?

Send it to me and I will flash it into one of the 2 mk1L I have. If it bricks and I can not revive it there will be a bunch of CF-52 mk1 parts for sale. :D

Re: TBT CF-18 GUIDE

Thank you for the guide ADOR. I appreciate all the work that went into it. Having picked up a mk3 and mk4, this guide was invaluable figuring out these two 18s, especially the 'Buttons and Drivers' link. Got a fresh install of XPP and all drivers installed in one shot. Painless. Thanks again.

Re: CF-52 MK2 WWAN/GPS options

Someday....like two weeks from now? ;)

I'll send you a PM later tonight or tomorrow. I am busy installing an OS and drivers into a CF-18KHHZXBW I got today.

Pressure is only good on a wound.

If you do have fun, and not a brick, I would sooner have a copy of the whitelist BIOS that the credits. Good luck.

CF-52 MK2 WWAN/GPS options

I picked up a CF-52GFNBVAM that is WWAN ready. What options do I have putting in WWAN/GPS? If I remember correctly, I read that the CF-52 takes a Gobi1000 (no GPS) but not a Gobi2000 (w/GPS). I want a built-in solution, not really interested in CardBus or ExpressCard solutions. So is it possible to ...

Here is the WinPhlash program. I used it on one of my Z61. Not concerned about the credits, just trying to help the project along. Have Phun. :D

Re: [WTB/FS/TRADE] FrankenPanny Project, a fun sales game!

I found a tool on MyDigitalLife called Univaersal BIOS Backup. I used it to copy the BIOS from a CF-52CCABVBM with BIOS: V1.54L25. I have attached the file in .rar format. Should be able to use Pheonix BIOS flash utility to flash new BIOS. Hope it works for you.

Re: [WTB/FS/TRADE] FrankenPanny Project, a fun sales game!

I have picked up a couple CF-52CCABVBM mk1L. Will the BIOS image from one of them work? If so, I need to know how to make a copy.

Also, parts arrived today. :D Should be able to play with them tonight, after I finish fresh OS and driver install on the second CF-52.
