Re: Wifi Bluetooth combo
I have not opened the back but all checks in Windows (including installing the Bluetooth switch driver,) and Linux fail to pick up Bluetooth, so I'm pretty sure that I don't have the board installed. I'm going to get an OEM bluetooth board so that I can easily control it and there won't (?) be any c...

Re: Almost there, GPS is the only thing not playing.
Re ran SKIPENUM (with GPS disabled in the Bios) and got a message that it was successfully incorporated into the registry, so I rebooted after setting the GPS to auto, cursor still haywire. So I ran Regedit, and sure enough there was no entry that matched the contents of SKIPENUM, so I rebooted swit...

Almost there, GPS is the only thing not playing.

Re: Hard drive write issues
it's a 1 line case.
I'll stick it directly into a PC tonight (that's where it was when it worked last) and see what happens.

Re: Hard drive write issues
Just stuck the drive in an external case, windows recognised it (it appears in device manager) but the contents weren't displayed at all (and the drive was repeatedly spinning up and down sounded like a kitten mewing!).
I recon that the drive is Cactus, I'll try another tonight.

Hard drive write issues
Having a bit of trouble with getting the hard drive to work properly. I'm trying to use a 60GB IDE drive for testing (Fujitsu MHT2060AT) The drive is recognised in the bios, so I assume that the drive and caddy are working OK. When I try to install an OS, the drive is recognised, but I get a message...

7mm SSD drive in HD caddy
Will a 7mm drive be too thin for the caddy, or should I find a 9.5mm?

Re: Wifi Bluetooth combo
Definitely plastic like the first pic. So it's a Touchscreen. Had devices before with a touchscreen (i.e. an ipaq) and they were much more sensitive that this one (I have to press quite hard with my finger tip to get a reaction), maybe I have a fault, won't really know till its got everything instal...
