Sometimes it won't unzip if it thinks it is for the wrong machine. It's a protection that Panasonic put into them. Download and use the free program 7zip. Use that to extract the sound driver from that file then you can install it normally or manually though device manager.

Are you looking for the rubber one or the plastic one?
Also the ones on the CF-31 will also fit.

Next step is to decide if you just want to back up a image. Then keep or wipe that drive for another project. OR keep it in a enclosure for a portable SSD storage drive.

Have you tried a plug in external speaker or headphones to see if it's the output or another issue. I have a few toughbooks running the base windows driver and using the built in speakers isn't a issue.

I have used acronis myself. But there are several other options.

It's pretty much plug in your new ssd into the usb port on your computer using a adapter. Then follow the pop up guide of the software. Then just install your new SSD.

What OS?

You can also use cloning software to transfer your current install to the new SSD and wouldn't have to re-install anything.

What bios version do you have? They have two different bios versions for xp/vista. If you have the wrong version it could cause some problems.
