CF-51 service manual
I'm looking for a complete disassembly guide for a CF-51 (ideally a Mk3, but any will do), like the ones out there available for the 28, 29, 73, etc. I did find this "simplified" manual at Toughbook Wikispaces: http://toughbook.wikispaces.com/CF-51 However, it's only a few pages long, and ...

Re: CF-51 Mk3: Does it use a SATA drive?
On a related note... I purchased a caddy for a Mk3. It's my first ever purchase from Heartland! I wanted to provide the details for everyone's benefit: CF-51PF2DEBM [the unit I ordered it for] part no: DFWV99A0112 price: $59.36 plus shipping This is the *entire* caddy kit, and an unbelievable price ...

CF-51 Mk3: Does it use a SATA drive?
Subject says it all. The Mk3 uses the 945 chipset, which I have always seen accompanied by a SATA drive in other (non-rugged) laptops.
Sorry about creating so many threads regarding the CF-51. I figured I should separate my questions by topic...

CF-51: Will it accept a backlit keyboard?
It appears that the CF-51 shares its keyboard with the CF-29, which of course begs the question - Will an emissive backlit keyboard from a CF-29 function in a CF-51? By "function", I mean working keyboard input and a working backlight itself. I'm specifically looking for this capability wi...

CF-51 memory configuration question
The following is an assumption I've made, based on observation... can anyone tell me if it's true that all CF-51 units have *two* SO-DIMM slots, and *no* onboard RAM?

Re: "Federal Only" Toughbooks
Is it only the federal government that's concerned about this? Do state/county/local governments have this same fear of "airborne disease spread through Wi-Fi"?
Do the federal customers still use Ethernet and cellular WWAN?

"Federal Only" Toughbooks
I'm looking for info on what Panasonic's "Federal Only" designator actually means. 1. No wireless LAN/Bluetooth? Is this the only distinction of federal-only Toughbooks? Do they still come with the internal antennas (and leads) for you to attach your own wireless card? Also, what's the poi...
