Sorry for the late reply. No sudo = no difference. It seems to be the version of Mint I set up in a CF-30Mk3 that is causing the problem. I made a Live USB stick with a snapshot of MX-18 that you uploaded for me . Calibrated the TS no problem, but when I booted back into Mint the same problems were ...

[F9] is "Optimized" settings. In my quest to get the TS calibrated, I have previously set the BIOS to "Default" settings, it did change the TS setting to"Auto" and then the calibrator found no devices to play with. I will try it again.
