Shoot.

I swapped the glass, the serial board, and now the lcd/touch cable, and it still operates randomly. Perfectly one second, and then parameter error and or to the right side of the screen...

I did have trash caught in the gasket when I transferred the glass, but thought I got it all.

I really like how the board edited my post.... this is just a test:

must only apply to subject lines?


Also, wow, my antenna lead must have been screwed up, cuase the oem lead is giving me almost double the signal.

CRAP, I broke some stuff...

Ok, I had replaced the serial board and touch glass in my mk1, and it still had intermittent issues. So, I had concluded that either the cable was bad, or 2 glass panels in a row were bad. Crossing my fingers, i swapped the lcd and cable (god knows i'm not about to try and unhook/hook all those tiny...

many mobo's can have the password cleared using dos and the debug command.... google it, as i don't remember how to use it; it's been 3 years or so since i needed to use it.

try a recovery disk, it helped out my mk1 (still not right, but it's now righter. or at least I feel like it's righter (yes, i know).
