Did you try the trick of running it on the power supply only (no main battery) with the bios battery also unplugged and then removing power plug a few times so that it goes dead each time? This always worked for me on the Toughbooks and a few of the older Toshibas, but I have never had a Dell to try...

I used to run AMP CPUs in my desktops and they ran well but they did run pretty hot.
After the third or forth motherboard failure I came back Intel.
I will stay with Intel..

OK try this,,,,, Remove the main battery. Unplug the bios battery. Connect the power supply, turn on the computer, wait till it boots and then pull the power supply plug and let it die,,,,, I normally do this about 3 0r 4 times. Plug back in the bios battery and the main battery and access the bios....

What models of toughbook will this work with??
