Re: CF-31 Prelim specs and configs
None of the configs seem to list a webcam-delete option. I'd assume that pani is going to make that an option for their "Federal" customers?

Re: bios password
Does the bios store the password in the TPM module? If so, that's probably what you'll need to replace, and there's probably not much you can do to reset it outside of replacing it. toughnut - For doing SMT by hand, you need an iron with good temperature control, and a very fine tip. I personally ha...

Re: Robs rant and rave thread against anything that isn't a TB
anybody watch Stormchasers on Discovery? There was a scene this season where they are running down a dirt road at speed and hit some railroad tracks. The guy in the back goes -S**T- as his laptop crashes from hitting the bump. First though in my mind is "shoulda got a toughbook!" :D nine

Re: CF-18 GPS kit
I don't have much to add. The u-blox is _the_ GPS chipset to have at the moment. Great sensitivity, and it will do Galileo if it ever goes operational. Sitting inside, I currently have a HDOP of 1.0m With the configuration utility, you can set just about anything you want, including changing the upd...

Re: What can I do with a Sierra Wireless EM5625 modem?
The 5625 is an EV-DO (CDMA) modem. I assume you have one of the Australian CF-18's, as this was in a bunch of them. From a quick Google search, it doesn't look like there are any CDMA providers in Singapore, so your probably out of luck. IMHO, the best thing to do is to replace it with a GPS module ...

Re: Windows 7 on CF18
I put Win7 RC1 on my 18mk2.
As Doobi mentioned, I used mostly CF-19 Vista drivers.
However, I was never able to get the front panel hotkeys working, so I wen't back to XP

Re: Used Batteries
I noticed an interesting thing earlier this week when I refreshed the battery in a CF-29 I got. It actually ended up reporting a HIGHER fully charged capacity after refresh. I know this is different behavior than the CF-28's, which would only lower the capacity. This got me wondering if the CF-29 ba...
