Shawn, I am in Sweden. Just a thought. If I was to send over payment via PayPal for postage, media etc.
Could you do a imagine burning a recovery on CD or DVD and sending via traditional post?
I could send you my address information in that case.

Re: Install and boot problems
OK, I will try to do a bootable W7 image disk, but will come back if it doesn’t work.Shawn wrote:It's way too large to upload.

Re: Install and boot problems
Hi Shawn The disk was encrypted before I tried to swap the OS. Suspect that it was after I uninstalled some old programs and other things. In addition to that, used CCcleaner to clean up and correct errors in the registry. It was after that, when try to log in the computer it did a crash dump and af...

Re: Install and boot problems
As I understand, the secure boot is applicable to Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10. Why, it at the same time, would not be possible to install 8 or 8.1 puzzels me, since it´s says 8.1 on the label under the computer. However, a boot disk made with Windows 7 should work. I will try. A low level format o...

Re: Install and boot problems
It would be extremely interesting to get an working Windows 7 and from that make an identical cloned disc. On that hard drive (with a working installation) test to upgrade to Windows 10. I would however, be pleased with a working Windows 7 installation on the computer. Shawn, I want to emphasize, I ...

Re: Install and boot problems
Thanks Shawn. It was originally configured with Windows 7 Pro, but underneath it says Windows 8.1 though on the sticker. However, there is no Windows serial number, so it could not be de-activated. I planned to put in an SSD to increase the speed of the computer and upgrade the memory to maxium. An ...

Re: Install and boot problems
The thing is, it still boots up via the old disk, but I am unable to log in. When trying to do so, using the same password as in the past, it makes a crash dump, and then says, it’s locked by bitlocker. Swapping windows from one machine to another, by swapping disks, it will only say that it an ille...

Re: Install and boot problems
If all else fails, I have a motherboard here. As far as I know it is unlocked. Shawn, I’m not absolutely sure if it´s a MK6 or a MK7, the serieal number starts with CF-195HA Is it hard to swap the bios chip, or could a discounted cmos battery solve the problem? However, since the boot order should ...

Install and boot problems
Boot and installation problems. I finally got a LCD for my CF-19 MK6 i5 and had it changed. A little problems, since the touch screen contact and the connector to the inverter board were unplugged in the screen, but it eventually resolved after some troubleshooting. Now there are some other problems...

Re: CF-19 LCD and touchscreen
Guess maybe it's my lack of language comprehension, but I still don’t get it. As I understood it the LCD element from an older model could not be used in the current bezel. I have no problem using either the existing cabling or not having ALS connected.
Thanks
