No idea, Telstra is the primary telco in Australia, and owns the majority of the infrastructure, I *think* optus leases access to a lot of the network but also own thier own gear. Updated again, Changing to Telstra from Optus was as easy as rebooting with the Telstra SIM inserted

why the heck would you soak it in WD40? if you can disassemble it enough to get at its innards, using contact cleaner would be better than WD40...... which I wouldnt EVER use anywhere near a computer!

nope, vendor replied to a message and suggested I try letting windows do the update...... 2nd attempt this morning and woohoo! now it works!
